BEAUTIFUL OLD WOOD
Whilst looking for a potential christmas pressie for my daughter I came across this 19 Century French life-size articulated Fruit wood and brass Artist lay figure. So beautiful. The wood seems still to be alive.

PAPER CUT
I know that Peter Callesen is not really sculpting out of wood, but paper is made from wood. His work is amazing.

CONSTANTIN BRANCUSI & ALBERTO GIACOMETTI
When Sam and I were in paris what seems like an enternity ago, we went to see Constantin Brancusi's exhibition at the Pompidou. He is a guy who knew how to sculpt in wood.

Whilst we were there we also saw a Alberto Giacometti retrospective. Amazing to see so many peices in the one place. Whilst not as well known for his works in wood they are still wonderful.

TOTEM FOR BEN & SARAH
Ben and Sarah who live down in Kangaroo Valley commissioned me to do this totem. It looks really good on their mud brick walls.
